Hello community

Through my years of working with mentors and on my healing journey, one of the core principles and practices I keep coming back to is living in the present moment.

I definitely don’t get it perfect and fall off hard sometimes, but I know to quickly come back to the principle of live here and now.

Mindfulness is about being present in the moment, like when you see an awe inspiring sunrise or sunset. Like the picture I shared last week from Sandbanks!

It’s about directing all your attention to what’s going on internally and externally around you, in a conscious, open and non-judgemental way.

It’s a way of life you choose moment to moment.

Many of us lead busy, stressful lives, and routine often acts as a lifeline to ensure you move through your day with some sanity. But when you do something you’ve done a thousand times before, your mind will wander. But when we go into autopilot we can eat a whole bag of chips without even noticing what just happened! or doom scrolling!

If you go through large parts of your life without noticing what you are doing, experiencing, feeling and thinking, you may miss out on life itself.

When you get better at living in the moment and learn to observe and accept what’s happening within you and around you, you free yourself from past negative experiences, your expectations, your prejudices and limitations of yourself. The very things that create the stress.

Mindfulness is the pathway to improve both your mental and emotional well-being.

When I work with clients, I am always suggesting a meditation practice. As it’s the tool you can use to develop your practice of mindfulness.

Becoming more mindful everyday will eventually become a natural way to move through life. Learning to release resistance and be present in every little moment, no matter what is happening.

Developing your skills of awareness, concentration, presence and breathing is essential. Overtime this will all you to stay present inside yourself and with what’s around you. Becoming better at detaching from your unskillful thoughts, feelings and reactions, so they no longer control you.

I believe, meditation and mindfulness teaches you deep awareness about your inner world and outer world. When you experience every moment more deeply, you appreciate everything around you at a new level.

5 Benefits You Can Expect With A Mindfulness Practice

  1. Better Sleep - If you struggle to fall asleep or go back to sleep if you wake in the night, mindfulness will help you manage racing thoughts and get you back to sleep faster.

  2. Increase Concentration and Memory - When you get better at focusing on the moment, you are in the now, and concentration will increase. You will perform better and more effectively.

  3. More time for Joy! - Following the last point, when you are less distracted and use your time more effectively because you concentrate better, you will have more time for the things you enjoy!

  4. Improved Mental & Physical Health - You can’t remove all negative events and emotions from life that cause you stress. You can choose to use mindfulness as a way to anchor in the present and enable observation of thoughts and feelings with awareness. Releasing judgement of what is, and making better choices on how to regulate yourself in the next moment. When you react less, and observe with peace and non-judgement, your physical body will return to vitally with the freed up energy.

  5. Self Care Becomes Easy - Your body is always sending you signals when challenges arise within your feeling and thinking. If you’re not fully present in the moment and not able to recognize your feelings moment to moment, you will miss the signals from your body. Once you become better at noticing a shift within your internal state, you will easily choose to take care of yourself to bring you back to neutrality.

One question to keep with you the rest of the week…..

How do you respond to the first signs of feeling sad or low? Do you slow down a little and go inward, or do you distract yourself and push through?

Let me know how this resonates for you and what is the hardest part about a mindfulness practice?

Here is that awe inspiring sunset again! Watch a sunrise or sunset this week and observe how it feels in your body to be very present.

Client Reflection

I received this beautiful note recently from a long term client. So grateful to receive this reflection and to have the honour to continue to be of service.

I have had the privilege of having healing sessions with Sylvie the better parts of over half a decade!

Sylvie puts so much intention towards her sessions she really listens to my concerns in a non-judgemental way & puts together treatments that help free me from the problems or feelings that are tying me down leaving me more in tune with myself & elevating me in a way that helps me navigate life with more clarity.

Through her psych-K treatments I was able to easily let go of deep rooted sadness & stuck emotions after losing loved ones & helped me break away from negative though patterns & instead replace them with peace of mind & the ability to surrender to the joys of life through a shift that was made on a deeper subconscious level under her guidance.

Sylvie’s specially curated sound baths helped me create harmony in my body mind & soul.

Each session & interaction with Sylvie leaves me feeling whole again, as though every cell in my body has been rejuvenated & recalibrated for me to awaken to to the miracle mindset that allows me to slow down & synchronize myself with the flow of Universe & tune into my higher purpose to live my best life with a restored depth of love happiness & peace that is hard to attain in this day & age.

Create coherence daily

In June I held a live gathering called the Heart Coherence Circle, where we spent time together in guided frequency healing and heart and brain coherence. The replay is now available, and it's a beautiful way to give your body a full experience of what coherence actually feels like everyday.

This offering has 7 recorded sessions, for you to add to your medicine basket.

Inside the seven frequency sound meditations I guide you through settling the mind, releasing the inner noise, and coming back home to that grounded place within.

What's included:

  • Seven recorded Heart Coherence Circle sessions from June

  • Each audio file session is about 20 - 30 mins each

  • These are sound meditations for self-healing

  • Use them daily as part of your meditation practice

  • Lifetime access — return to it as often as you need.
